Programme Summary
The KENAFF young enhances youth uptake of opportunities along the agricultural value chains for sustainable livelihoods; empower youth with relevant skills and knowledge and information to enable them successfully venture into agriculture/agribusiness; and train, nurture and advance youth leadership capacities at all levels.The programme also aims at enhancing youth engagement in agriculture as envisaged in the Agriculture Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy (ASTGS 2019-2029); promoting agribusiness as a desirable pathway for employment and wealth creation; and promoting youth leadership at all levels (ward, sub-county, county to national).
The programme seeks to lay down multiple youth oriented strategies that will reverse the current trend of youths withdrawing their participation in the agricultural sector by making it more attractive as a career choice and livelihood option. It aims to achieve this by tapping into the dynamic youth workforce that is innovative; high-tech and have the ability to take on significant levels of risk.

- To enhance young farmers' adoption of innovative agricultural technologies,
